Senior / Principle HV cable engineer

Package:

• Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience
• Progression to Partner
• Car allowance: £6,000 per year
• Pension: up to 10%
• Bonus: minimum 5%
• Location: Homebased / Flexible working offered

The role:

As a Senior/Principal HV Cable Engineer you will form part of the senior leadership team within the business. They are looking for someone who can grow with the business and transition into Partner, so this is a great opportunity to join a young but ambitious business who have a large work bank of projects. They are looking for someone who can mentor junior team members and work with the business to continue their expansion into international markets.

To be considered for the role, you will need to have the below experience:

• Delivering sustainable, innovative, optimised, and comprehensive design solutions for extra high voltage cable systems (up to including 400kV).
• Ensuring all data such as calculations, specifications, design procedures, industry standards etc. are up to date in internal HV cable library.
• Ensuring all HV cable projects are delivered to a high technical standard, on programme and with safety at the forefront.
• Managing programmes for HV cable design works with coordinating current internal resource levels and end clients.
• Management of key accounts and stakeholders for HV cable projects.
  Help drive sustainability and innovations within the HV cable project environment.
• Developing skills to plan, organize, direct and control tasks, people and design resources for key projects.
• Co-ordination of mechanical, civil and electrical disciplines in the production of a comprehensive Cable System Design
• Co-ordination with civil engineering partners, cable installers, the end user and any other stakeholders both on a site and project level to ensure the cable design can be implemented safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Chartered Engineer through the IET. (preferred)
