Contemporary apparel company has an immediate opening for an Associate Designer to work directly with Design team and Owner. Applicants should have solid experience with Dresses and Tops and a knowledge/understanding of full collection items. Qualifications

• Impeccable attention to detail and deadlines with exceptional organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to function independently as well as in a team based environment
• Team player with excellent written & communication skills and necessary follow through
• Upbeat, positive attitude, and ability to be flexible
• Proficient in MAC, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, MS Office – especially Excel

Responsibilities

• Assist with trend research, line planning, and design for collection and development for major accounts
• Assist with all flat/CAD development packages
  
• Create Detailed tech packs for new development styles
• Communicate with all overseas mills and factories, track all overseas development/submit
• Communicate all bulk/submit comments/approval
• Attend and take active role in all fittings
• Support w/ major accounts – manage headers, CADS, swatching, etc.
• Assemble samples, sew-bys, trim packages, etc.
• Ability and willingness to be flexible in assisting all other departments
