Job Summary

As a Skilled Heavy Equipment Operator at Huntzberry Brothers, Inc., you will work with either a grading, utility, concrete, or paving crew in a safe and effective manner to ensure timely completion of our projects. Safety is our #1 priority! (EOE)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, rollers and off-road dump trucks
• Follow safety regulations including OSHA and local jurisdictions
• Perform daily checks on equipment to ensure proper operating condition which includes greasing and checking fluids
• Keep interior cab and exterior components (including tracks) cleaned out daily
• Park and store equipment safely at the end of each day
• Cooperate with others in a team environment
• Accept direction from supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is preferred but not required
• High school diploma or certification in a skilled trade
• Ability to read and follow construction site drawings, diagrams and specifications is preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
