Huntsville Honda is hiring a LICENSED AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN OR THIRD/FOURTH YEAR APPRENTICE.

Qualifications:

• 310 S license or registered apprenticeship with the Ministry of Colleges and Trades
• Factory-trained Honda certification is an asset
• Must have a track record of quality workmanship, while maintaining a sense of urgency to complete jobs on time

Responsibilities:

• Perform the work described in the work orders efficiently and accurately.

• Detect the problems, based on the customer’s complaints and his/her own inspection and repairs it.

• Inspect recently delivered vehicles and road test them.

• Qualify all vehicles for warranty coverage prior to performing warranty repairs

• Notify the service advisor and/or the shop foreman if additional work is required, if the work described is unnecessary or if the repairs cannot be done by the expected deadlines.

• Obtain parts from parts department and return parts as required.

• any defective or poorly functioning equipment to the supervisor.

• Ensure that the customers’ cars are clean. any incident which may affect the appearance or condition of a car to the service advisor as soon as possible.

• Keep abreast of federal and provincial regulations and municipal bylaws governing the removal of hazardous waste, etc.; understand and observe them.

• any safety issues to the supervisor as soon as possible.

• Supervise the work of the apprentice technicians, as requested.

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of current products by attending all internal and external training courses sponsored by the manufacturer.

• Ensure that the shop is clean and tidy.

• Perform other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.
