Finance Officer
Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital
About the role:
As the Finance Officer you will provide support to the Finance Manager with the provision of financial management services to the Tamworth Hospital. This position has primary responsibility for the timely compilation, analysis and distribution of routine management accounting reports. This extends to in-depth analysis of variances and reporting of trends. The occupant will assist with end of month accounting, and the development and implementation of procedures and practices. You will be supported in this role with orientation and HNE Learning Pathways.

Tamworth is the central hub of the New England North West with a population of just under 60,000 and is well known as the country music and equine capital of Australia. An agricultural area for lamb, wool, beef and various pastures, the temperate climate will allow you to experience all the seasons. About you:
You are a highly motivated individual with an interest in developing a career in financial management. You will have relevant experience and/or qualification (or working toward / planned commencement) in business, finance or accounting services. You will use your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to bring creative solutions to problems/issues, and to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You also have strong computer and time management skills.
An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.
If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
All NSW Health workers are required to have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 30 September 2021 and two doses by 30 November 2021 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
