Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital
Tamworth Hospital is one of the New England’s largest regional hospitals, recently refurbished to boast brand new, state of the art facilities. Tamworth Hospital is a major Rural Referral Hospital providing services to the North-West area of NSW. In July 2015, we opened the doors to a new $220 million acute services redevelopment; equipped with 348 treatment spaces; we conduct over 8000 surgical procedures per annum over five theatre spaces.
We are seeking a committed and dynamic individual to join us as a Clinical Nurse Educator.
As the successful candidate, you will deliver and evaluate clinical education programs in consultation with Nurse Management, Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Consultants, to support Excellence, clinical best practice, care and optimise clinical outcomes within Nursing and Midwifery Services. You must also be willing to work evening and weekend shifts.
You are a committed Registered Nurse who is suitably experienced with Nurse Education process operating in a fluid environment and you can rapidly and effectively respond to changing circumstances. You communicate effectively, are able to build rapport and engage others at all levels to deliver outcomes in a timely manner. You are also a dynamic individual with excellent nursing and leadership skills and demonstrated expertise in delivering clinical excellence in a professional manner. You will be someone with demonstrated experience in working with the multidisciplinary teams, doctors and nursing staff, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to strategically plan will be essential to success in this position. You will also be someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients and staff.
You will be supported by the DDON & M Executive and Nurse Educator Team to ensure staff education and training is the key focus in supporting all new and existing staff members through the facility.

Information for Applicants:
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
