About the role:

The CME’s play a key role in providing training, education and support to Midwifery staff and students to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to provide safe, quality care for women, and their family, as well as neonates. An important quality is maintaining professional conduct, being a role model, taking initiative, and staying up to date with HNE policies and guidelines, and NSW Health strategies.
The successful candidate will be working within a dynamic team of Clinical Midwifery Educators at Maitland Hospital across all area’s including Birthing Unit, Maternity Unit and Antenatal Clinic. This comes at an exciting time as we transition to a brand new, state of the art, hospital located at Metford, where we will be moving early 2022.
About you!
Our successful candidate will be a dependable and knowledgeable CME with the ability to provide clinical teaching and education to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills. You will have a commitment to maintaining clinical competency as a Registered Midwife within a practice setting. You be an excellent communicator with the ability to manage change and guide others through change process. You will also be a coach and mentor to provide assessment and feedback of clinical skills to Midwives. If this is you, apply today!
