About the role:
As an Assistant In Nursing you will provide individualised excellent patient care within a health service environment to maximise the health outcomes for the patient, under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. You will be supported in this role with orientation to the facility upon commencement, along with our friendly team and a Clinical Nurse Educator one day per week.
About the facility:
Barraba Multipurpose Service is a 22 bed unit that provides emergency, acute, residential and community care to patients, residents and clients of the Barraba community and its surrounds. Barraba MPS maintains strong links to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, as the closest referral hospital for the more acute management of patients. Barraba MPS has 16 Residential Aged Care beds, 6 sub-acute inpatient beds, 24/7 Emergency Department, Community Health and Day Centre.
About you:
You are a highly motivated Assistant In Nursing with the skills and knowledge to work effectively in a rural facility. You will have great communication skills and will work well as part of a motivated and caring team.
Job share / Part Time arrangements will be considered. An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.
To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.
If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
All NSW Health workers are required to have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by 30 November 2021 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
