Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our heritage builds, managing all aspects of the construction process from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee and manage multiple heritage build projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards
– Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to develop and refine project plans
– Plan and coordinate construction activities, including procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
– Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays
– Conduct risk assessments, implement safety measures, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
– Manage relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or conflicts
– Track and manage project budgets, monitoring costs, and implementing effective cost controls throughout the construction process
– Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained in a timely manner
– Oversee the preparation and negotiation of contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are properly documented and adhered to
– Conduct regular progress meetings with project teams to review performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
– Collaborate with the design and planning teams to ensure that all heritage conservation requirements are incorporated into the project plans
Qualifications and Skills:
– Minimum 5 years of experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, with a strong background in heritage builds
– Deep understanding of heritage conservation principles and practices
– Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and techniques
– Excellent project management skills, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
– Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate project teams
– Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
– Proven track record of successfully managing projects on time and within budget
– Relevant qualifications or certifications in project management or construction management would be advantageous
