Enterprise Logistics COE Lead
SUMMARY: Hunter Douglas is looking for a logistics professional to support implementation of the process
and technology strategy for the newly created North American Logistics & Distribution team. This position
will drive value by governing processes and leading improvement efforts including systems
implementations(eg: TMS,Control Tower, Supplier Management systems, etc.). The ideal candidate will
collaborate with Hunter Douglas’ 4PL partner, service providers, & other stakeholders(ie- Customer Service, Sales, SC Planning, Operations, & Procurement) to act as a center of excellence (COE) focused on supply chain optimization and best practices.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
ï‚· Implement and Govern the Logistics process strategy and, Transportation Management System, which
includes, but is not limited to, a focus on policy, processes, technology, and change management to support business decision-making.
 Support RFP’s & less formal sourcing events(mini-bid, spot quote, etc), as well as the resulting service
provider onboardings for logistics.
 Establish an SOP for HD’s international Order Management(OM) process that can be implemented
with all relevant service providers(eg- Suppliers, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, etc).
 Support HD’s analytics and ing capabilities by leading engagements between all applicable parties: 4PL, Freight Forwarders, & HD Analytics.
ï‚· Responsible for the Implementation, performance, ing, and on-going operations of the Logistics
Management Systems
ï‚· Responsible for ongoing logistics process enhancements in alignment with Enterprise COE guidance.
 Identify the proper KPI’s to measure improvements in the global Transportation network including
leading and lagging indicators.
ï‚· Partners with other Deliver functions to drive end to end improvements, ensuring business requirements
are met.
ï‚· Documents processes, procedures, and training materials in alignment with COE standards
ï‚· Partner with Sales leadership to ensures that Customer Service needs are exceeded through deploying
logistics and decision making and exception management tools, and technology to improve operational efficiency and associated Customer Experience
ï‚· Significantly improves, changes or adapts logistics processes, to support the transformation of the
Supply Chain Planning and Logistics organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at an
above average level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill,
and/or ability required. Ability to travel approximately 30%.
Education, Experience, Certifications:
Bachelors degree in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or Business Administration; or +6
years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
ï‚· Experience working with a 4PL and/or implementing a TMS (required)
ï‚· Change agent, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
ï‚· Working knowledge of DOT regulations
ï‚· Experience logistics strategy development including rate structure.
ï‚· Multi-modal logistics experience
ï‚· Demonstrates organizational awareness and uses influence effectively to promote positive change
ï‚· Project Management skills
ï‚· Critical thinking and problem solving skills
ï‚· Experience collaborating cross-functionally.
ï‚· Proven ability to interact and effectively communicate with Executive management and all
levels of the organization related to operational changes and strategic initiatives
ï‚· Strong knowledge of Network Design systems and processes
ï‚· Knowledge of logistics sustainability strategy & metrics (preferred)
