Huntapac Produce Ltd Hiring for HR Generalist at Preston Full Time

The HR Generalist will work with the HR Manager and HR Administrator to provide HR Support for circa 500+ colleagues, across the 3 business functions:

· Production

· Transport

· Agriculture

You will need to have a good understanding of Employment Law and HR Policy and should be working towards or have a CIPD qualification/HR degree.

You must be passionate about providing an excellent HR Service and working proactively to improve HR processes and systems.

Daily duties to include

Working with the HR Manager and Administrator.

• Support the HR Manager whilst providing cover in their absence
• Support the HR Administrator providing cover in absence
• Managing employee relations caseload including complex cases.
• Giving advice to employees and managers on HR policy and best practice
• Assisting with the recruitment and interview processes.
• Liaise with recruitment agencies

• Working on a variety of ad hoc projects as and when needed
• Updating HR policies inline with employment legislation updates
• Facilitating human resources processes
• Administering employee health and welfare plans, (laisse with occupational health, as it is a hearing protection site)
• Answering employee requests and questions
• Assisting with new employee hiring processes and inductions
• Conducting audits of HR
• Coaching and upskilling managers
• Analysing payroll data per cost centre
• Chairing meetings relating to both HR and payroll
• Devising HR Policy training documentation and rolling out to Team Leaders & Managers
• Assisting with the performance review and termination processes
• Identify new initiatives for staff retention
• Identify new initiatives for cost savings
• Assist in the management of hours and costs – by being able to provide Managers with timely information to enable this to happen
• Ad hoc training as and when required
• Assist with the annual planning for peak periods – Summer – Harvesting, Winter – Production & Transport
• Provide the necessary cover for HR and extra duties across the peak periods; this may also negate the need for varied hours / days and extended hours and working week

Salary: £25,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
