ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll collaborate closely with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, research and analyze salary trends, and ensure we find the right fit for the position.
You’ll utilize innovative recruiting methods to attract top talent and streamline the selection process, providing candidates with a positive experience along the way.
Partnering with our HR Manager and Talent Acquisition team, you’ll help shape our workforce by developing hiring strategies and implementing HR policies to drive organizational excellence.

Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process, with the support of the hiring managers, including :
Creates and maintains job descriptions and salary ranges providing organizational consistency and research salary market trends;
ensuring legal and regulatory requirements are met.
Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the open role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
Participates in career fairs and networking events.
Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
Creates an efficient interview process and positive candidate experience by setting expectations, communicating timely updates and providing feedback.
Schedules interviews, oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring selection materials.
Coordinates and submits background checks, drug screens, MVRs and other required employment screenings based on position.
Develops onboarding schedules and works closely with the Learning and Development team to identify training needs.
Partners with the HR Manager, Talent Acquisition team and Hiring Managers to develop, prioritize and deliver on workforce plans and hiring strategies.
Recommends, develops, and implements HR policies, programs and process improvements.
Maintains files including entering, scanning and uploading documentation into various systems.
Responds to inquiries via telephone, email, and in person, to provide information, clarification and answers, ensure prompt problem resolution, and escalate issues as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, or a related field, and / or 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience with a focus on specialist roles demanding specific backgrounds, technical expertise, and experience.
Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel and able to learn new technology and programs including applicant tracking, onboarding or other human resources information systems.
Understanding of employment related, state and federal laws, regulations and forms, including AAP, EEO and other recruitment related best practices.
Familiarity with HR Processes and HRIS systems.
Previous experience in union and non-union construction industry preferred, but not required.

WORK SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT
Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented construction environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments.
Works with a variety of people including employees, managers and applicants.
Must be able to meet recruitment schedule needs, including occasional travel and evening hours for career fairs and interviews.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
