Hungry Jack’s® Pty Ltd Hiring for Procurement Category Manager at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

We are seeking a Procurement Category Manager who will have a significant role in the success of the operations of Hungry Jack’s restaurants. The role will engage in many facets of the business process – including safety, planning, procurement, purchasing, production, pricing, storage, and distribution of goods (warehousing).

As a member of the Supply Chain department, you will influence many different parts of the business. It is a unique position that will assist other departments in Hungry Jack’s execute their strategies related to products prepared for purchase. Our Procurement Category Manager may also be called upon to diagnose and support the needs of external/internal supply chain partners to maximize efficiency and costs.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

• Effective selection and management of suppliers both local and overseas, supporting lean manufacturing processes
• Collaboration with the Logistics Manager to maintain efficient transportation and distribution practices
• Budgetary Preparation
• Implementing cost reduction and value-driven initiatives
• Ongoing communications and liaison with appropriate departments and stakeholders

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

• Has worked at both operational levels of multi-site complex food businesses
• Experience in Contract negotiation and management
• Proven ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to maintain a professional approach at all times
• Demonstrate a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
• Superior communication skills
• Self-driven, self-motivated and can work autonomously at managing own time to meet objectives
• Drives performance whilst continuously challenging the status quo
• Solutions and results-focused
