Hume City Council Hiring for Early Childhood Educator Job at Broadmeadows Full Time

Hume City Council’s Family, Youth and Children department is seeking suitably qualified Early Childhood Educators to develop and implement innovative children’s educational programs in collaboration with staff, families, and children. This will include planning, implementing and evaluating programs for children and creating inclusive, secure and interactive learning environments. Sound knowledge of current theory in practice, pedagogy and contemporary early years reforms will compliment Council’s Early Years Operations team.

Key Skills

• Relevant knowledge and experience of the National Quality Frameworks comprising the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010, National Education and Care Regulations 2011, National Quality Standards and its application to children’s services. For Occasional Care, relevant knowledge of Children’s Services Law and Regulations.
• Demonstrated understanding of current theory in Practice in Early Childhood and current trends of Early Years Pedagogy.
• Demonstrated organisational skills, initiative, time management, and leadership skills, including the ability to manage and support co-workers to succeed in their roles. Demonstrated ability to maintain documentation of children’s learning.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively as an Educator within a large team, and the ability to network and build relationships within the community and Council.
