The Coordinator of Inclusion and Service Planning sits alongside the Coordinator of Early Years and Coordinator of Youth Engagement and Pathways and together will formulate the Senior Leadership team – reporting to the Manager Family Youth and Children’s Services.
This key position recognises the critical role that families have in their child’s development, learning & wellbeing and understanding the importance of working together on common goals. They identify the family as a primary influence and aim to build capacity, create awareness and respond to evolving needs.
The role acknowledges that supporting educators and key stakeholders in their understanding of the barriers to engagement for families will ensure children are given greater access to services. There is a focus on mitigating factors that may prevent children in attending and actively participating in programs. The position recognizes the importance of supporting Hume’s’ diverse and culturally rich community and the provision of essential support to vulnerable children and families.
We are looking for an experienced leader that has a focus on continuous improvement and practice and strives for quality outcomes. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage large teams of skilled professionals, have a strong knowledge of policy relating to early childhood and be able to identify innovative initiatives to ensure Council can support its growing and diverse community.
Key Skills
Tertiary qualifications in early childhood education and care, social science or equivalent. Postgraduate qualifications in leadership and business management highly regarded.
Extensive experience in operating as a senior leader in a large and complex setting.
Experienced in strategic planning and data analysis as well as experience in relation to public policy, child and family environments within the broad community context and the early years’ service system.
