We are a rapidly growing organization in the not-for-profit sector and looking to hire a financial manager/accountant to join our team on a part-time basis.

You can divide your time, working remotely and come to our office a few hours per month.

The office is in the Tysons Corner area. The position is one- year contract for up to 30 hours in a month and can be extended for another year with the possibility of additional hours.

The financial manager is responsible for the accounting and day-to-day financial operations of the organization. The financial manager plays a key role in leading the development of annual budgets and works closely with external stakeholders on the reforecast process and recommending plans to the executive director, and senior management.

Responsibilities:
– General accounting services;
– Financial analysis;
– Collection of financial data;
– Provide efficient, accurate, and timely financial reporting to the organization on monthly and quarterly results;
– Implementation of financial policies;
– Establish good relations with stakeholders and actively participate in applicable team and management meetings, and
– Develop, coordinate, and implement strategies and solutions to solve or improve any situations that may arise.

Qualifications:
– University degree in Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Business Administration, or related discipline;
– Must live in Virginia, D.C., or Maryland;
– Minimum 2 years of finance and management experience preferred;
– Excellent management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and multitasking skills, flexible and adaptable to change in work assignments and schedule, able to develop and implement innovative solutions;
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. verbal and written), self-motivated, with a positive attitude and be able to work independently and as part of a team, and
– Preferred being familiar with the U.S. grants (2 CFR 200 Subpart E or FAR 31.2 for commercial organizations) is an asset.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour
