10 months temporary position
The Human Capital Manager acts as an agent of influence and responsible for all HR activities for our Edmonton locations. The incumbent of this position is a leader in his field and provides continuing support health and safety, training and competency development, organizational development, succession planning, recruitment and employee engagement. The Human Capital Manager acts as a coach for the management teams.
More specifically, the Human Capital Manager:
Provides human capital service support to all locations under its responsibility;
Supervise, support and develop the Human Capital team under its responsibility;
Acts as a change agent with the site managers under its responsibility by recommending the appropriate actions aimed at the proactive management of human capital;
Participates in management committees as well as major projects impacting employees;
Participates in the development and implementation of the HC strategic action plan;
Participates as a leader in the different organizational development, performance management and succession development activities developed by Corporate;
Responsible for the grievance process and ensures the application of the appropriate settlement;
Acts as a change agent and coach in the implementation of a positive health and safety culture.
Involved in site health and safety committees and participates in the implementation and compliance of H&S procedures, standards and regulations;
Ensures that workplace accidents are handled appropriately and makes the final decision on return to work;
Requirements:
Bachelor of Business Administration, Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations or another relevant field;
3 to 5 years of experience as a generalist within the scope of a senior HR position for an average or large multi-site organization;
Excellent grasp of provincial labour laws and regulations;
Sound command of software such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook;
Advanced level spoken and written English;
French language knowledge (an asset);
Certified HR professional (an asset);
