We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individual to provide training both face to face and online to the workforce within the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to cover each of the agendas as follows:

Learning Disabilities

Mental Health

Wellbeing

Safeguarding for Adults

You will also provide Special Education Needs (SEN) support and expertise for staff within the Trust to support them in their learning needs and work lives.

The post holder will work primarily between Suite 22 and home, but there may also be a need to work across sites at either Castle Hill Hospital or Hull Royal Infirmary, depending on the needs of the service to be able to fulfil the duties of this role.

The purpose of the HUTH Education & Development Department is to facilitate the delivery of the Trust’s Mandatory & Statutory Training to ensure that the workforce are able to access their required learning in person and virtually.

The department promotes the values of the Trust through the provision of expertise and capacity to support teams in accessing their education & development needs to improve the quality of care we provide for patients.

The post holder will be working as part of a team, delivering teaching to HUTH colleagues.

Develop, promote and maintain effective and productive communications with staff, representative groups, Trust management teams and external bodies.

Provide professional advice, support and guidance on Education and Development Solutions that support Organisational Development and the relevant agendas.

Providing information to managers as necessary through a variety of media, so that they are kept up to date with practice issues.

Proactively identify and engage with external partners to support the Learning Disabilities / Mental Health and SEN Agenda

Utilise a range of methods and techniques that innovatively engage people in identifying learning and development needs. Use sound learning needs analysis techniques to make informed recommendations to the appropriate people on potential options and solutions.

To be able to provide sensitive and contentious information, where agreement and co-operation is required.

Supervise Education and Development Advisors as necessary with the portfolio for the Learning Disabilities / Mental Health / SEN Agenda.
