Responsibilities:
Recording, reconciling and reporting transactions within the general ledger, including preparing journal entries, schedules and analysis for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare account analyses with month to month changes and year to year changes supported and explained
Prepare financial reports for Senior Management
Answer questions from Senior Management and internal and external auditors and to provide support in a timely manner
Identify opportunities for process improvements and make suggestions for improvement
Prepare and analyze reports, records, and financial data
Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
2+ years of related accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Accounting
CPA – Active or in process
Big Four experience is a plus
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) – able to communicate and establish working relationships with other departments and personnel; capable of drafting and organizing substantial documents
Strives for excellent performance for the whole team through individual performance and helping others succeed
Strong accounting experience and enjoys challenging the status quo and improving processes and controls
Advanced MS Excel skills and knowledge of spreadsheets, including Vlookups and pivot tables
Ability to excel within tight time constraints and rapid turnaround situations
Strong analytical ability, good organization skills and excellent time management skills while also being a self-starter
Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance knowledge as it relates to accounting and financial matters
Experience with preparation and support of public SEC filings (10Q/10k)
Experience with SAP or Oracle General Ledger and/or Hyperion
Experience with foreign currencies
Exposure to investment accounting
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
Compensation Range Annual Salary: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00
