Day in the Life:

The Digital Merchandiser is a manager level role  that responsible for the execution of a seasonal strategy that aligns product strategies with financial goals ensuring end to end sales, gross margin and inventory meets KPI’s.  They are responsible for creating a seasonal framework by division/category that aligns product strategies with financial goals. 

What You Will Do:

• Accountable for the development and communication of category product strategies that align with financial goals for the season
• Meet category sales, GM and inventory goals
• Develop seasonal hindsight and the strategic opportunities used to go to market
• Analyze category, choice counts, pricing to influence overall merchandise assortments
• Manage in-season digital assortment change recommendations of their categories
• Identify areas of opportunity to make meaningful investment shifts supported by marketing and site execution
• Create a compelling product experience in partnership with site merchandising to include inspirational merchandise presentation, simple and intuitive category navigation and clear and accurate product details
• Deliver best in class product assortment architecture within area of responsibility
• Collaborate with business partners to prevent re-work, redundancies and inefficiency

What You Will Need:

• Post-secondary degree in Business or related field 
• 3+ years’ experience understanding the category management process and developing action plans to grow sales and profitability 
• Have a strong working knowledge and passion for digital retail landscape
• Experience in Buying an asset
• Ability to speak and present data or insights confidently
• Strong influencer that can help fuel our digital growth
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfort with change
• Strong aptitude to work within deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
• Working knowledge in site analytics tools (Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Power Point) and the ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes and additional software/web-based applications
