Day in the Life:

The Business Systems Analyst, Merchandising Systems enages Business Stakeholders & IT to plan, elicit, analyze, document and validate system requirements that meet business needs.  The Business Systems Analyst, Merchandising Systems leverages an analytical approach and their technical skills to understand business problems/requirements, as well as the capabilities of the technology, and propose a recommended solution and complete small enhancements.

What You Will Do:

• Collect and document business requirements and act as the liaison between the business and the appropriate technical / development teams during requirement gathering and finalization.  Analyze business and user needs, gather business requirements, using a structured process, and document functional requirements.  
• Work with developers to define system scope and objectives based on both user needs and good understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.
• Develop strong working relationship with the business and establish yourself as their go-to person; independently and through interaction with stakeholders, identify areas of opportunity and propose improvements.
• Perform application system analysis, prepare data/process flow diagrams and design screen/report layouts as part of business systems solution/application design.    
• Support the technical teams testing during QA, SIT or E2E testing and/or perform UAT in proxy for the business when required.

What You Will Need:

• Post secondary education in Business, Information Technology, Process Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience with HR, Finance or Merchandising Systems.
• Understanding of and possible work experience in development / programming / architecture and solution design.  
• Ability to speak comfortably and with credibility in both business and technical languages.
• Experience working in both waterfall and agile project delivery models.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills. 
• Resourceful in overcoming obstacles to meet deadlines.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
• Proven record of accomplishments in major enterprise level projects.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges.
• SQL skills preferred but not required
• Eligibility to work in Canada
