Hudson’s Bay Company Hiring for Manager, Digital Product Onboarding (Contract) at Toronto, Ontario Full Time

What This Position is All About:

The Manager, Digital Product Onboarding is responsible for leading and overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle for specific categories including vendor requests, the turn-in pipeline, accurate setup of products and ensuring category merchandising is reflective of the site merchandising strategy. They are responsible for process improvement and efficiency metrics development and implementation for the life cycle. The position will be responsible for building and overseeing the execution of lifecycle reporting, managing customer and site support tickets, special projects and not on site prioritization. They are also responsible for achieving topside sales plans, conversion goals, usability performance targets and corporate objectives.

Who You Are:

• Familiarity with item onboarding and site analytics tools (e.g., Product Information Management Tool, Omniture or Coremetrics) and with content management tools
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Power Point) and the ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes and additional software/web-based applications
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple resources, priorities and a large volume of business
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems
• Proven ability to function well in a collaborative environment
• Strong aptitude to work within deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work effectively with and present to individuals at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside primary job description when necessary
• Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Self-motivated, resourceful with a creative mindset
• Ability to select and develop a team of future leaders
• Keen attention to details
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in e-Commerce, retail site merchandising preferred
• Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience managing a team
• Understanding of retail ecommerce landscape
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree

What You Will Do;

• Be accountable for life cycle reporting, projects, tickets and new vendor onboarding
• Serve as the liaison lead between Buyers, Vendors, Ecomm Merch and Studio teams on life cycle related issues, exceptions and new processes
• Lead ideation and delivery of lifecycle projects
• Ensure thorough quality assurance of designated categories of responsibility
• Work with Site Operations to identify and reduce process or system inefficiencies
• Gain a thoroughly understand competitive landscape primarily focused on navigation and customer experience and make recommendations to incorporate into business
• Support and/or lead our partners in India to execute tasks/projects and proactively lower the overall volume of items on the daily not on site
• Professional development, annual reviews and leadership of a team
• Performance Measures/Outcomes (example: key metrics, turnover, retentions stats, etc.)
  • Improved customer experience ratings, conversion metrics, reduced return rate
  • Improved team quality metrics
  • Timely and accurate execution of merchandise related content and assortments
