About the role

Leading the finance function for this subsidiary company you will have significant autonomy in the day to running of the function and be a key leader in the Australian business.

Key deliverables for this role include:

• Manage the financial reporting functions efficiently and effectively ensuring that these are undertaken on time and in compliance with relevant accounting and legislative requirements.
• Preparation and submission of the annual statutory financial statements.
• Contribute to the annual budget process.
• Monthly cost control and variance analysis.
• Maintain allocated registers and manuals, processes and procedures.
• Perform month-end functions in a timely and accurate manner, continually seeking to improve the processes.
• Assist the management with developing the commercial strategy.
• Maintain the existing relationships with banks and auditors.
• Lead and develop a finance team of 7.

What you’ll need to succeed

• You’ll be somebody who’s proactive in nature, who enjoys financial reporting, statutory compliance and has experience of leading and developing a finance team.
• You will demonstrate resilience in how you carry out your day-to-day duties.
• You will be a professionally qualified Accountant with some significant post-qualified experience in leadership positions.
