Position Summary:
This position will account for closed-end private equity investment funds which invest in multiple types of assets included but not limited to foreign and domestic real estate, operating companies, as well as secured and unsecured non-performing loans. Heavy inter-company reconciliations and investment analyses are standard. Transactions are dynamic and very complex. This individual must have a strong commitment to quality and productivity and must be able to work well within a cross-cultural fast paced team environment.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintenance of underlying accounting records for multitude of fund level entities
  • Perform Fund duties including but not limited to cash reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, waterfall review, recording of investment account activity and investor capitals calls and distributions
  • Preparation of quarterly and year-end US GAAP financial statements
  • Internal and external reporting functions, including preparation of audit PBC’s
  • Assist management in resolving identified issues in a timely manner
  • Perform ad hoc and special projects as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in general ledger, inter-company reconciliations, and analysis of general ledger data for transaction research
  • Strong technical accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail in analytical assessments
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines consistently with accuracy of financial information
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Graduate Degree preferred
  • CPA or CPA Candidate preferred
Experience:
  • 0-3 years of professional accounting experience required
Other Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge, including ability to summarize data via formulas, lookups, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, etc.
  • Hyperion Essbase experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Oracle, Discoverer, ADI or similar accounting software
Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a business casual environment (jeans acceptable)
  • This position’s hours vary depending on business activity, can range from 40 hours per week on average to more during quarter/annual close cycles
  • Hybrid office/remote schedule with 60% being in the office
