Talent Acquisition Lead | Hub Australia

Reports to: National People & Culture Manager | Hub Australia
Start date: November 2022
Location: Melbourne
Employment type: Permanent full-time
Stakeholders: Hiring Managers across the business
Ordinary hours of work: Full-time. 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required to perform the duties of the role.
Salary: To be discussed.
Other expectations: Regular interstate travel is expected. In-person attendance at the annual company gathering on a Saturday plus in-person attendance at Quarterly leadership meetings (weekdays) is expected.

Your role

This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and passionate talent acquisition specialist to make a genuine impact in a rapidly growing business. Being the first point of contact and acting as the conduit between the business and our future team members, you will thrive in a fast environment and have end-to-end accountability for managing all aspects of recruitment. Your key focus is on finding the very best talent to help grow our team, whilst being collaborative and building strong relationships with your key stakeholders. This role is focused on internal talent acquisition only.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

• Developing a good understanding of Hub Australia operations, our industry, our work culture and environment;
• Proactively partner with key stakeholders to develop strong rapport, and a deep understanding of roles that sit under your remit;
• Work with managers to assess requirements of roles and work with managers to ensure what is required and advertised for is a role in the wider market (that we not looking for unicorns);
• Advertising vacancies and newly created roles by drafting position descriptions and placing adverts;
• Using social media and current market trends to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships;
• Headhunting – identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work;
• Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for our Hiring Managers;
• Working with the Hiring Manager to create interview briefs for project or panel interviews;
• Working closely with the People & Culture team, communicating where candidates are at on the recruitment pipeline, stages of internal applications, preparing the P&C team to commence the onboarding process and working across any pivotal projects.
• Share market insights and key learnings with key stakeholders, contributing to broader P&C initiatives for the organisation;
• Managing and overseeing internal application process with a fair and unbiased approach
• Conducting reference and background checks;
• Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job;
• Organising interviews for candidates as requested;
• Informing candidates about the results of interviews;
• Negotiating pay and salary rates in line with Hub’s budgets and processes, to finalise arrangements or contracts;
• Offering advice to candidates on pay rates as per Awards and Hub’s policies, training and career progression;
• Reviewing and improving recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programs;
• Preparing monthly metrics on talent acquisition data.

Keys Skills and Attributes

• 4+ years experience in recruitment
• Experience working in a high growth environment or scaling business
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Early careers recruitment experience would be beneficial
• Excellent Time management and Organisation skills to work across competing priorities
• Communication skills
