HSB Technical Looking for Civil Estimator at Fareham Full Time

HSB Technical – recruiting a new position for a Marine / Civil Estimator, to work for a National Contractor on the South Coast
Being fully supported by the Estimating Manager, You will be working on a wide variety of tenders and projects involving; earth-moving, Marine structures & Coastal Construction, flood defences

Key duties and responsibilities (but not limited to): 

– Preparation and submission of high quality tenders, whilst utilising in-house Estimating systems and tools, MS office
– Building relationships externally with new and existing clients to provide competitive, and mutually beneficial solutions to target projects
– Providing upto date information on new materials, quantities, and utilisation of modern construction techniques
– Review existing tenders, and offer support and advice to ensure a successful outcome
– Being continually aware of competitor activity, and gaining market knowledge

Ideal candidate: 

– Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction related discipline
– Prior experience as an Estimator / or Quantity Surveyor – on similar civil / engineering projects
– Any previous marine / maritime projects experience very advantageous
– Professional, and personable individual, that is service and delivery focussed
– IT literate, and comfortable working with new systems and processes
