We provide Outsourced HR to a variety of businesses, from a Gin Distillery to various charities, STEM clients and law firms. We love variety and moving from one client to another helping them to recruit and retain their people. We are keen to find someone who is comfortable working at pace, and in an agile environment. No two days are the same.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role combines recruitment and selection with Human Resources Consultancy handling complex employee relations casework and advising clients on best practices and day to day advice and support, assisting them to become employers of choice.
The role holder will act as the account manager for a selection of our clients outsourced HR requirements.
Our HR advice encompasses organisational restructuring, TUPE transfer, redundancy, resourcing activity and other various HR related projects as required.
The HR Consultant role supports and coaches the senior management team of our clients to resolve their day-to-day HR issues, using our knowledge of employment law to give robust pragmatic advice on a variety of matters across a variety of industries.
ESSENTIAL MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:
Recruitment:
Help clients formulate job descriptions and advise on recruitment strategy
Use our Applicant Tracking System to shortlist and interview candidates for our clients.
Organise psychometric assessments
Interviewing and shortlisting candidates; guiding our clients through the recruitment cycle
Human Resources:
Handling a portfolio of Employee Relations cases with varying complexity across all aspects of performance, absence, sickness, disciplinary, dismissal, grievances and investigations.
Resolving complex employer relations casework and supporting managers with day-to-day issues, resolving situations before they escalate by offering pragmatic solutions and the relevant supporting paperwork.
Developing and populating contracts, together with bespoke policies for clients as and when required.
Identifying opportunities to introduce our Human Resources Information System (HRIS), recruitment services, employee engagement, Salary Surveys and online training platforms and employee engagement surveys to new and existing clients
Marketing
Contributing to newsletters and blogs, promoting HRCentral via various social media outlets (mainly LinkedIn)
Attending and speaking at various seminars as an HR expert representing HRCentral Limited.
DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Working, at pace to deliver a quality outsourced HR provision for our clients
Develop procedures and policies to fit with our client’s needs and legislative requirements, in the correct tone for our clients
Maintaining contact and relationships with our partner account managers, ensuring we are getting the best from the relationships with our external suppliers
Attending networking meetings and client meetings to develop long term relationships
Ensuring, through regular contact; the client has everything they need to manage their staff effectively in relation to HR Administration, Recruitment and HR Consultancy
Handling HR/ER (high volumes and complex cases) alongside day-to-day queries and perhaps more administrative tasks and recruitment activity for our numerous clients
Providing advice and coaching to our client base in accordance with current employment law and maintaining and updating our clients operating practice
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
Our successful candidate will be an experienced HR Generalist, who has operated at a strategic HR Business Partner level, in a complex, and fast-paced organisation, and preferably an SME environment.
Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and to develop land maintain long-standing relationships. Working in a flexible, agile way to respond to clients needs, often at short notice, you will be good at analysing situations and prioritising accordingly.
Ideally, you will have significant experience in partnering and influencing senior leadership teams.
You’ll need to be comfortable ‘rolling up your sleeves as well as working individually to get tasks completed collaboratively across the business and our various clients, you will support others as an integral part of the team.
Professional and easy going / informal, a “big picture” thinker; results orientated with a can-do attitude.
Expert in the use of Outlook, MS Word and Excel and PowerPoint, computer literate, you will need to be tech-savvy. Experienced with using applicant tracking systems and other tech platforms and software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, someone who pays attention to detail, is tenacious and diligent, who will take ownership of tasks and focus on getting the job completed within the timeframes allocated on our internal tracker.
Able to multi-task and prioritise, working accurately under pressure, to tight deadlines.
