Electrical Multi-skilled Engineer Sheffield Shift
Our client, one of the UK’s premier manufacturers of civil and construction steel products is looking for an experienced, Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work within their manufacturing facilities one in the Sheffield area. With a wide range of products our client is able to give total solutions to its customers needs as well as offer to each customer a level of unparalleled service and technical back up. The key to this role is ability to work within a fast-moving production and manufacturing company who supply into the construction industry, maintaining and fault finding on a range of electrical and mechanical systems and controls including drives, motors, control panels, single and three phase, PLC’s, as well as helping the mechanical engineers with hydraulics, pneumatics, cutting and bending machines and machine shop equipment.
The Role                                               Â
This role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all electrical and mechanical equipment, electrical biased roles within our client’s facilities. Electrical knowledge of 3 phase electrical, motors, drives, controls, PLC’s required and if possible some basic mechanical exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, cutting and bending machines. The roles require applicants who have reactive and proactive maintenance and repair experience as well as fault finding experience. This is a heavy engineering type of role and require applicants to work on a fixed early and late shift. Overtime will be available.
The Person
Applicants will preferably have present or previous electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair experience. Applicant with fault finding experience would be ideal. Applicants should have present knowledge of fault finding and repairing manufacturing production equipment, although the industry may be different training will be given. Applicants should be suitably qualified within electrical engineering ideally for the role16/17th edition, time served but should ideally be multi-skilled. The role will have a salary of £30-35k basic, OTE £34-37K with pension scheme, Life Insurance Scheme and 25 days holiday.
