IG Machine & Fibers Ltd. is a manufacturer of quality commercial and residential roofing products and part of the IKO Group of Companies. We presently have a full-time opportunity for a Plant Human Resources Coordinator to join our team based in Brampton, Ontario.

Position Overview:

The Plant HR Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR, Payroll, and Benefits Administration activities in the plant. As well, this position will assist with administrative requirements to support the plant. This position will report to the Plant Manager and the HR Business Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

Within a manufacturing plant environment,

• In collaboration with plant Manufacturing Assistant, responsible for recruitment and selection of Hourly positions
• Conduct New Hire Onboarding
• Oversee Kronos timekeeping and payroll administration
• Administer benefits program
• Compile reports and analysis data
• Process claims, including WSIB, Short Term Disability, and coordinate Return to Work program
• Assist with executing plant strategies to meet business goals, and providing feedback and support
• Assist with developing and proposing improvement to policies, procedures, and programs
• Resolve minor employee issues
• Assist with the interpretation of Company policies, procedures and programs
• Perform administrative tasks and maintain related records
• Assist plant management team to coordinate recognition programs and social events
• Other duties as may be assigned

  Qualifications:

• Possess CHRP designation
• 3- 5 years in an HR generalist role in a fast-paced manufacturing plant
• At least 2 years hands-on payroll administration experience using a time-clock system
• Proven records in attention to details and data accuracy
• Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with HR information system
• Thorough understanding and knowledge in ESA in Ontario, Human Rights Code, and OHSA
• Ability to organize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strive to work in an environment with rapid changes
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Proficient in MS Office
• Experience working in an Unionized plant will be an asset
