HP Manufacturing Hiring for Procurement Specialist at Cleveland, OH Full Time

This position is responsible for purchasing all items, materials and services related to production and plant operations. Needs to locate or promote possible new sources of supply while keeping up to date on market trends and business practices. Regulate inventory levels consistent with efficient and cost effective operations. Coordinate with scheduling the materials to insure timely delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support production with an uninterrupted flow of materials
• Define and maintain inventory levels to support sales and production
• Responsible for inventory accuracy and valuation in ERP system
• Develop and implements cost effective purchasing procedures for organization within defined limits
• Source new and existing materials for best cost and delivery within the client’s specifications
• Develop and maintain professional supplier relationships and performs supplier risk assessments
• Utilize MRP system to support efficient operations
• Enter and distribute purchase orders to appropriate parties
• Define and support solid cost reduction initiatives
• Expedite purchase orders as needed
• Seek and qualify new suppliers
• Schedule pick-up and delivery from outside services and suppliers
• Research supplier discrepancies and issues
• Maintain HP internal material price lists
• Responsible for annual physical inventory and cycle counts
• Interact with appropriate personnel to ensure that production schedule is being followed to assure on time deliveries
• Special projects assigned by Management
• s to the Operations Manager
• Supports Quoting new business; investigates sources of supply; issues RFQ requests, receives and analyzes quotes and proposals; recommends suppliers and administers supplier agreements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
