HP Hiring for Engineering Program Manager Job at Spring, TX Full Time

As part of Personal System Global Organization, our team oversees enabling customized PC configurations for Corporate customers. The setup process of such PC configurations includes various steps (Requirement gathering, Engineering, Procurement, Factory setup). Your role will be to manage and lead programs involving multiple functions and project teams to drive process improvement, process alignment, and launch new services across multiple geographies.

Responsibilities

• Program/Project Management
  • 
    PMI PMP certification preferred
  • Manages and leads a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering.
  • Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program
  • Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule
  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders
  • Ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet schedule

• Process Improvement
  • 
    Lean 6 sigma certification and demonstrated Process Design experience preferred
  • Document process mapping using Visio or similar tools
  • Identifies problem statement and objectives for improvement/convergence/alignment
  • Collaborates with management to recommend and implement changes to processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules

• Strategic Thinking & Storytelling with Data Visualization
  • 
    Advanced PowerPoint skills required, consulting experience is a plus
  • Creates data-driven strategies and visual, succinct presentations to executive audiences
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization.
  • Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

• Business Analysis
  • 
    Experience analyzing data using Excel pivot tables and Power BI/Tableau is a plus
  • Analyze metrics & data to understand drivers and tell a succinct story on the data about business performance
  • Understand issues using data, and launch projects to address the business issues
  • Relates operational performance to financial performance

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
• Typically, 6-10 years’ experience.
• Candidates with below experience in addition to above are preferred
  • Ability to design and apply practical application of the following in day-to-day business processes: Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), or SharePoint workflows, InfoPath, Dynamics
  • Financial acumen (P&L, revenue, cost, gross margin)
  • Working knowledge of PLM and PDM processes
  • Working knowledge of master data material number creation for SKU/CTO in SAP is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of factory processes, SAP S4, BOMs is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
• Persuasive PowerPoint storytelling skills to visualize data and simplify complex concepts
• Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and structuring data
