HOYA Vision Care Hiring for Data Entry Pre-Production Technician at Ridgeland, MS Full Time

SUMMARY

Perform data entry and pre-production department job responsibilities as defined by management as to alleviate the need for overtime.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

1. Move work from all pre-production work stations in preparation for morning shift employees

2. Calibrate tracers and trace frames and attach patterns to jobs

3. Open, receive, and log incoming work and bin frames as needed

4. Pick inventory and tray up lenses to process into Surfacing department

5. Proactively make boxes for shipping department

6. Wash, wrap, invoice, and bin ship-ready jobs ten at a time

7. Other duties as assigned by management

Secondary Duties

1. Cross-train in all positions to be able to assist in other areas of department when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• None required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to read Prescriptions
• Able and willing to work as a team
• Able to read and write English Language well
• Have good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience
• Work without supervision
• Attendance/Punctuality – is consistently at work and on time

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to manipulate, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and use tools provided to complete his/her work. The employee is frequently required to stand and/or sit. The employee is occasionally required walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Safety Requirements

• Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program
• Closed toe shoe required with heel support
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• Must wear safety glasses and gloves or fingercots in most positions
