Howdens Joinery Co Hiring for Finance Manager Job at Howden, England Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager with a proven background in Operations, to join our busy Finance team in Howden, in Yorkshire. This will provide the right individual with the opportunity to partner our senior leaders within Logistics as we build for growth for the future. Working closely with senior stakeholders, and as a key member of the Operations Finance Leadership team, you will drive performance, and challenge and deliver insight to enable optimum productivity efficiencies to be delivered year-on-year.

What you will be doing:

• Period end accounting and reporting, with strong commentary/analysis to explain variances.
• Production & development of weekly trackers, as well as operational KPIs to explain performance across the Supply Chain
• Identify, challenge and present senior stake holders profit opportunities / risks and ensure actions are delivered
• Ensure capital investment procedures are adhered to in Logistics
• Finance lead for logistics projects as we build for growth
• Manage and develop team to ensure department runs efficiently & training needs are identified.

What you will bring:

• A qualified accountant with a recognised Finance qualification
• A proven track record of leading teams in an operational environment in a large PLC, preferably with Logistics experience
• Excellent stakeholder management experience, injecting challenge to drive performance, and managing multiple stakeholders at all levels including senior leadership.
• Highly motivated, self-starter with a passion to deliver operational benefit to shareholders.
• Strong communicator who understands the business agenda and strategy.
• Embraces change, and an ability to think strategically and tactically.
• Organisational and planning strength.
• Customer focused, able to deliver to tight deadlines, responding quickly to changes in direction and priorities.
