Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Lead the development and implementation of proactive DEI and racial justice initiatives in alignment with Howard Center’s strategic plan to create a learning and working environment where all have an opportunity to succeed. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and works collaboratively with the agency leadership team to promote shared racial justice and DEI priorities.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, execution, and monitoring of strategies in alignment with the agency’s DEI and racial justice goals
• Design and implement organization-wide DEI culture change efforts to advance the agency mission
• Engage with external partners to execute our racial justice and DEI strategy
• Conduct ongoing assessment of diversity efforts to inform the agency’s DEI strategy and work plans
• Advise, partner, and collaborate with Human Resources and stakeholders to advance diversity recruitment and retention strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five years of relevant experience
• Proven effectiveness in collaboration and change management – both theory and practical application – related to organizational culture transformation

Structure:

• Full-time position (37.5hrs)
• Exempt position
