Housing Australia (formerly known as the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation or NHFIC) is an independent corporate Commonwealth entity, dedicated to improving housing outcomes for more Australians, and will be responsible for delivering 40,000 new homes under the Housing Australia Future Fund and the National Housing Accord, and related infrastructure through the National Housing Infrastructure Facility.

Housing Australia arranges funding for community housing providers and new housing infrastructure projects through the Affordable Housing Bond Aggregator (AHBA) and National Housing Infrastructure Facility (NHIF). We also support home ownership by administering a number of Home Guarantee Schemes and produce strategic data and insights to support our operations.

About the role

We are seeing an experienced HR professional to join our dynamic and growing organisation to support our growth, which will see us double in size over the next 12-18 months

You will work closely with our Head of People & Culture to support both our growth and BAU requirements, and contribute to various HR initiatives, programs and projects linked to both business as usual and our expansion.

Key elements include:

• Assist in a broad range of people and culture functions, including systems and processes, L&D, general and compliance training, onboarding and offboarding, engagement activities, WHS, governance and ing
• Assist in our recruitment program across the organisation, including project resources and secondments
• Drive various aspects of a change program to deal with issues arising from growth
• Contribute to our Sharepoint project and ELMO HRIS implementation
• Manage or assist in a wide variety of corporate and HR related projects

About you

Ideally you will have

• Around five years or more of broad experience as an HR generalist, preferably gained in institutional banking, financial services or property
• Ideally some recruiting experience gained in institutional banking, financial services and/or property.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to deal at all levels and write high level papers and s.
• Strong Microsoft skills (Word/Excel essential) and preferably some ELMO or Sharepoint exposure
• Strong problem solving skills and initiative, energy, high attention to detail, and relevant tertiary qualifications
