HotSpot Parking, Transit, Taxi (also known as HotSpot Technologies or just HotSpot) is a company with offices in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The company was founded in 2013 with the goal of designing a mobile parking application that would meet the needs of municipalities in Canada. Since that time, HotSpot has developed an application, in partnership with municipal clients, that now provides “the best in class parking experience” for all of our existing account holders. HotSpot is experienced with adapting to the unique needs of our clients and providing feedback on the parking situations in multiple cities.

Job Summary

Employees in this position provide office management for the HotSpot Office in Fredericton NB and occasional IT technical support for HotSpot Parking Inc. to our mobile application users. Work with clients to ensure they have the best experience and troubleshoot any issues. Relay issues to the technical team and monitor for any usability issues found.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide email and phone front line support to both English and French customers and troubleshoot as required
• Help Customers with any inquiries about mobile applications or web-based products.
• Troubleshoot usability issues
• Provide feedback on app for development team to implement

• Review and submit parking tickets received from our users and submit to the city for reviews.

Position Qualifications

• Bilingual (French required)

• Outstanding interpersonal skills needed to interact with others and provide exceptional customer care

• Knowledge of and experience supporting customer service requests

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.

• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Willing to work shifts some evenings and weekends.

• Must have basic knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
