Hose Master Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist at Euclid, OH Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist position is responsible for delivering all facets of the recruiting process throughout the company. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources, as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Talent Acquisition Specialist position will play a critical role in ensuring that the company will recruit and hire the best possible talent for all company site locations.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans

• Create job descriptions.
• Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
• Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
• Conduct regular follow-up with Hiring Manager and Human Resource Manager to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
• Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
• Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
• Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
• Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
• Utilize the Internet for recruitment of candidates.
  • -Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.

  -Use social media and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates. -Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.

2) Network Through Industry Contacts, Trade Groups and Employees

• Create networking contacts within the industry and community.
• Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
• Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.

3) Coordinate and Implement Recruiting Initiatives

• Attend job fairs/career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
• Coordinate college recruiting initiatives.
• Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting.
• Increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.

4) Perform Administrative Duties and Record Keeping

• Maintain and utilize the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for applicant tracking, onboarding and interview data in
• Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
• Conduct prescreening interviews.
• Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.
• Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters.
• Assist in interviewing and selecting employees’ onsite.
• Assist in preparing and sending offer packages.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

• 1 to 2 years of Human Resource Recruitment experience required,

• 1 to 3 years of combined Technical Recruitment and/or Campus Recruitment preferred.

• 1 to 2 years of experience with HRIS systems.

Knowledge Required

• General knowledge of Human Resource functions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook with an emphasis on spreadsheet and internet experience

• General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.

• Understanding of HRIS systems and record retention requirements.

Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in the use of Applicant Tracking Systems

• Knowledge and experience using social media recruiting tools, as well as job boards and traditional methods

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer terminal. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Duties may take the incumbent onto the shop floor for extended periods of time to resolve issues or locate/coordinate orders.
