Hornsby Shire Council Hiring for Human Resources Officer (Temporary) Job at Hornsby Full Time

Temporary Full Time position, up to 12 months

Salary: $2,934 to $3,286 per fortnight, plus 10.5% superannuation and a 9 day fortnight

Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience.

Employment Services are seeking an enthusiastic individual with demonstrated commitment to customer service, continuous improvement of processes & procedures and exceptional organisation skills to join our supportive team.

Your new role is part of a customer focused HR Team that supports the organisation with a full range of HR services and will have a primary focus on recruitment, maintaining employee information in the HRIS and remuneration & benefits activities.

About us

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney’s upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

About the role

Your new role encompases 5 main areas;

• Coordinate recruitment activities for the Employment Services Team
• Maintain employee information in the Human Resources Information System
• Processing of transactional human resources activities, including employee recognition scheme awards, leave applications
• Coordinate the performance review and job evaluation process.
• Assist in the development, review and implementation of HR policies, determinations and projects.

About you

The Employment Services Team is seeking a motivated individual with tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related discipline or deemed equivalent experience. Your new role requires good judement, an excellent attention to detail and highly developed interpersonal skills.
