Seaward Services is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician for our operation in Bangor, Washington. About You : This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity : We are seeking an experienced, Senior Engineering Technician – Mechanical to support engineering, technical, maintenance, and logistical services for the research, development, test, and evaluation of test activities at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Detachment Puget Sound facilities.

As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and assembling various on-water facilities, assets, and mechanical equipment to ensure 100% operational readiness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical equipment, with extensive experience in vessel and barge construction, vessel and barge capital modifications, drydock management, crane operations, hydraulics, equipment overhaul, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance.

• Essential Duties & Responsibilities : As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and assembling various on-water facilities, assets, and mechanical equipment to ensure 100% operational readiness The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical equipment, with extensive experience in vessel and barge construction, vessel and barge capital modifications, drydock management, crane operations, hydraulics, equipment overhaul, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance Other duties as assigned Requirements & Qualifications : High School diploma or higher Professional certification in a relevant field such as (1) US Navy’s Engineering A-School;
• or (2) certification equivalent in coursework and rigor A minimum of 12 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery operating in and around a marine environment A minimum of 10 years of experience in all the following areas : mechanical project execution and planning;
• supervising and conducting heavy rigging operations; blueprint reading and red-line drawings; hydraulics; repair and overhaul of pumps and valves;

plumbing and piping systems; air compressors and pneumatics; and preventive maintenance planning, execution, and tracking.

Secret or Top-Secret Clearance Preferred : Certification in diesel engine maintenance, troubleshooting, & repair (e.g. Navy Diesel Mechanic C-School or certification equivalent in coursework & rigor) About Us : City Experiences’ passion is to provide amazing experiences on land and water.
