The Horizon Science Academy Belmont, a K-8 charter school in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood with approximately 580 students. We are seeking high capacity, fiercely positive, growth-oriented teachers.

Job Requirements

The teacher must have a bachelor’s degree, valid teaching certificate, and a belief that all students, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities can learn and achieve.

Responsibilities include:

-Implementing the Common Core Standards.

-Planning and preparing engaging lesson plans in accordance with our approved curriculum.

-maintaining curriculum maps; submitting weekly lesson plans.

-Motivating students to continual personal improvement.

-Managing the classroom to facilitate an effective and respectful classroom environment.

-Will work closely with the other subject teachers to develop lessons and other cross-curricular activities.

-Will work with a classroom size of approximately 23-27 students.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $57,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
