Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

Based in a world class Horizon North camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 14 days on and 7 days off, with 12-hour workdays. Transportation is provided to site from a pickup point in Edmonton and Calgary airport being fly in fly out .

The Lodge Manager, ing to the General Manager, will assist with the overall operations, logistics, food services, contracts, environmental and maintenance.

This position is safety sensitive and requires drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.

Your work will include:
Work closely with the General Manager in leading and coordinating overall operations;

Identify, develop, and implement site strategies, challenge assumptions underlying each site’s operations, and ensure that operations are in compliance with policies and procedures;

Ensure operational efficiencies and productivity goals are outlined and realized;

Create staff schedules in accordance to client forecasts and revenue

Service the client by ensuring the highest quality facilities and services are provided to clients, owners and residents

Demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer satisfaction; develop systems and practices to consistently measure and monitor satisfaction levels

Maintain a human resources strategy that ensures human capital is attracted, retained and utilized at its highest levels;

Demonstrate the ability to critically review and assess current operations with the objective for constant improvement.

Managing food safe standards and food budgets

Managing day to day operations of the front desk and housekeeping operations

Managing the retail store and cash handling on site

Monitoring the the daily recreational programs on site

Additional duties and responsibilities may be required

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

A post-secondary education preferably in business or management.

5+ years of progressive management role in hospitality, accommodations or related industry.

Retail experience and cash handling

Experience in the Camps and Catering and/or oil and gas industry.

Must be a strong leader with focus on people management.
