THE PROJECT

This is a posting for Cote Project or another remote site in the area. Cote Project has a Covid-19 vaccination mandate in place. We are working hard to transform the camp experience and create a warm, welcoming environment. We are looking for energetic, reliable, trustworthy, and passionate individuals to join our team and make our projects successful.

General Helper is a kitchen position that is critical to the success of the Culinary team. General Helpers work a variety of shifts throughout the day or night and act as the fuel that keeps the kitchen running smoothly. General Helpers have broad job descriptions with various tasks to complete throughout the day based on their shift schedule and the time of day. General Helpers may work split shifts, night shifts, early mornings, and late nights, depending on the kitchen schedule. Kitchen Support usually work 11-hour shifts.

• Assisting in the preparation of food items as required

• Cleaning high touch point areas on a continual basis during meal services

• Stocking Grab & Go fridges with sandwiches, salads, micro meals, drinks, and desserts

• Clearing dirty dishes from the dining room and bringing them to the dish pit

• Emptying garbage and recycling into communal containers

• Responsible for bagging carrots, celery, meat, cheese, eggs, and other products as required

• Working with the nighttime kitchen team to assist in wrapping of cookies or pastries

• Working in the dish pit washing dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans

• Cleaning high touch-point areas in the office complexes as required

• Other duties as assigned

• Camp experience considered an asset

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to work in fast paced environments

• Good attitude and willingness to learn

• Good oral communication skills and positive attitude

• Food and accommodations provided while on site working rotational shifts making above minimum wage with guaranteed hours
