Job Description
As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be working under the direction of the Manager of Operational Support is strategically responsible for directing Continuous Improvement activities that occur WAFES West Division. This position is a 15 Month contract starting in June 2022 until September 2023 based out of Edmonton, Alberta.
You will be responsible for the following duties:
Supervise, coach and mentor CI team, ensuring all Horizon North established policies and procedures are followed.
Develop CI team members by supporting professional development, providing regular feedback to promote the utilization of best practices and completing annual performance reviews.
Lead selected project teams to drive process optimization initiatives by applying continuous improvement, lean, and project management tools in the manufacturing environment.
Collect and analyze information to improve the performance of the department and identify areas for improvement.
Seek out best practices and latest technologies.
Develop processes and solves problems for business units
Provides training and facilitation services where necessary to drive business transformation activities and ensure long term sustainability.
Prepare process work instructions and operating procedures and implement process improvements or changes to the applicable business units

Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Process Analyzing or Continuous Improvement.
A university degree or college diploma in business administration or in a related field.
Experience in Project Management
Operations Management experience would be considered an asset.
Experience leading a team is an asset
