KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide first level technical support to employees by answering questions, fixing technical problems, troubleshooting, and providing desk-side support.
Responsible for operational and administrative functions such as account setup, printer setup, desktop configurations, workstation setup, software installations, and network cabling.
Monitor and troubleshoot end-user related issues, including workstation performance, system logs, disk usage, and email.
Document setup/troubleshooting processes and solutions for end-users and/or IT team.
Manage and support.
Windows File and Printing servers, including installation, backup/recovery, and regular server patching.
Office devices (i.e. printers, copiers).
Handheld system including MobiControl – SOTI server.
Network security solutions including Checkpoint, DUO, Darktrace. SonicWALL Time-Base One-time Password solution.
Windows Server services including: WSUS, MDT, DHCP, DNS, AD.
Exchange hybrid and O365.
VMware Horizon.
Manage and rotate daily and weekly backup disks.
Track hardware inventory, including any changes, additions, decommissions of hardware.
Test software and computer solutions as assigned.
Prepare training documentation and conduct training, as requested.
Assist with business ERP software application, as requested.
Other duties: as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:
2+ years of IT support and help desk experience.
Excellent customer service skills, approachable and patient.
Professional, collaborative and team focused.
Good knowledge of operating systems, primarily Windows 10.
PC hardware knowledge.
Strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook skills.
Basic Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, switches, OSI model, VLANs, routers).
Basic Database Knowledge (Access or SQL server or Oracle).
Experience with:
Windows Active Directory, Printing, File, DHCP, DNS service, WSUS, MDT.
Exchange Server and O365 in a hybrid environment.
Firewall, SSL-VPN and multi-factor authentication.
VMware vSphere.
VMware Horizon.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and using a support ticketing application an asset.
Post secondary computer science/IT education or training such as: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft MSP/MCSA/MSCE an asset.
