Hopedale Medical Complex Hiring for Central Supply Courier Full Time

Purchasing Courier, PRN
The Courier is responsible for transporting items to and from off-campus locations using HMC vehicles. Couriers are expected to have good customer service skills, since they will be interacting with patients and clients upon delivery of items. Clients can include physicians, nurses, lab technicians and other health care professionals. The Courier will be scheduled up to 23 hours per week.
Responsibilities

• Pick up incoming mail from Hopedale and satellite Post Offices.
• Deliver mail to the Commons and Administration buildings each morning.
• Take outgoing mail to the Post Office each afternoon.
• Prepare and deliver flight bags to the satellite offices daily.
• Pick up and deliver laundry and medications as needed for satellite offices.
• Deliver medications to the surrounding areas for the Pharmacy as needed.
• Deliver or pick up lab work, patient films, special order items, etc. from the surrounding area as needed.
• Complete Courier log sheets and fill vehicle with gas at the end of each day.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Perform other related work as required or requested.

Requirements**

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license, a clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance are required.
• Initiative and motivation are required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision is required.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Diplomacy and tact are required while working with vendors and other personnel.
• Duties may require being on call according to the schedule set up by the Director – Central Supply.
• Willingness and ability to be on call as needed are required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
