We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with great community outreach and presentation skills to join our team and help keep our youth safe from sexual exploitation.

Job Responsibilities:

The Education Program Manager (EPM) manages and oversees Hoʻōla Nā Pua’s (HNP) educational programs. The EPM is responsible for (including but not limited to) developing, maintaining and deploying prevention-based presentations for youth education for middle and high school students, as well as for adults in the community at large. EPM works closely with the Director of Community Programs to ensure excellent, high impact, and strategic educational programs for HNP.

Job Duties:

• Develop, enhance, implement, and manage all HNP education programs and objectives.
• Implement and manage educational presentations to schools and the broader community
• Track and monitor activity statistics and outcome measurements.
• Develop evaluation methods to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
• Create, review and implement educational materials, techniques, and technologies.
• Develop and create new Educational Presentations that are age appropriate and evidenced based
• Maintain, develop, and cultivate relationships with school personnel and develop new partnership opportunities
• Pursue new school partnerships and community educational opportunities on O’ahu and neighbor islands.

• Participate in preparing program grants and reporting

• Interface with schools and agencies to secure memorandums of understanding (MOU) and interagency agreements for HNP education programs.
• Develop and manage the education program budget and operating plan.

• Recruit, train, vet, and manage volunteer Education Advocates (EA).

• Manage education program interns and ensure a positive and learning environment

• Establish positive working relationship with HNP leadership, Board of Directors, staff and core team of volunteers.

• Work with Development Team to support fundraising opportunities for the benefit of education programs
• Research and seek out sustainable funding sources for educational initiatives and programming

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Sociology, Psychology, Peace Studies, Communications or similar field (Master’s preferred).
• 2 years training/education experience. (6 years of progressively responsible training/education program experience can substitute for formal education requirements).
• Professional experience working with the CSEC population is highly preferred.
• Education curriculum development and evaluation highly desired.

• Exceptional emotional intelligence, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams/roles, and build successful relationships and partnerships at all organizational levels
• Self-motivated, high-level of enthusiasm, and passionate about CSEC issues as well as about HNP
