Grades 1-3 Summer Fun Teacher Assistant

Temporary: June 13th – July 22nd

PAY: $20/hour

HOURS: 8:10am – 3:15pm

Responsibilities include assisting lead teacher with creating meaningful, fun activities that inspire curiosity and imagination for children.

The assistant is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive rapport with their lead teacher, the children and the families registered in the program. The assistant will arrive at school promptly to open the program area, check in with the lead teacher and Summer Fun Director as needed, and prepare the day’s activities. Attendance is also the responsibility of the assistant and lead teacher. Keeping sign in and out sheets up to the minute, and monitoring numbers of children in your care is essential. The assistant should be working with the lead teacher to provide constant appropriate supervision of the group. She/He needs to be aware of any health or medical conditions of the registered children including any allergies or dietary restrictions.

The assistant will be working with the lead teacher in order to execute daily activities.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Honolulu, HI 96821: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
