About the Role

As a part of the recent Sine + Honeywell integration, we are looking for a Software Tester to join our Adelaide team. You will drive the customer experience of our software by performing testing across our products. You will be detail focused, have a knack for breaking software, a technical background and be comfortable to take initiative and drive your own flow of work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify bugs and potential problems within the software
• Perform manual testing and run automated tests
• Respond to technical issues raised from clients and internal teams that require replication and implementation
• Create in-depth test plans to improve release flow
• Create tests to identify software issues
• Document test progress and results
• Drive innovation and assist in streamlining testing process
• Work with the Software Development team to efficiently resolve tickets and troubleshoot issues
• Critically examine new features and improvements to ensure they meet our standards
• Be proactive in learning about the product and its features
• Champion continuous quality improvement
• Support the Customer Support team with your product domain knowledge
• Maintain and update internal documentation and guides around QA
• Speak favourably about our product and be confident work is free from bugs
• Navigate and test third-party API’s and help drive integration growth
• Analyse and compare query performance including working with indexes
• Drive and scale improvements within our load and performance testing practices

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• Experience with software testing across mobile and web applications
• A keen eye for detail and strong technical mindset
• A knack for ‘breaking’ software
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
• Familiarity with a broad range web browsers, operating systems and mobile devices such as iOS (iPhone), iPad (iPadOS), Android
• The ability to form a deep understanding of new technology quickly
• Experience navigating SQL databases and using SQL queries
• Be comfortable exploring third-party documentation and implementation
• Strong knowledge of QA tools, concepts and methodologies
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and cases
• Thorough understanding of ticket creation and documentation
• Able to uphold and maintain high quality standards
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good time management skills
