Honeybee Robotics Hiring for Mechanical Engineer at Longmont, CO Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Execute high reliability mechanical design and analysis for long life space applications.
• Design mechanical systems including bearings, gears, motors, and rotating mechanisms.
• Derive system requirements from client specifications for engineering and/or qualification units and oversee build of these units.
• Generate design documentation and vendor specifications.
• Support assembly and test including environmental testing, shock, vibration and thermal.
• Motion Control for spacecraft actuation, including planet modeling and control system development.
• Proactively identify roadblocks to technical progress and take steps to mitigate/avoid.
• Review test data and recommend changes to products and/or processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of experience or Master’s Degree with 1+ years of experience.
• Proficient with a variety of computer aided design & analysis.
• Excellent ing and presentation skills.
• Previous aerospace industry experience is a plus.
• Electronics Packaging experience is a plus.
