Hone is re-imagining leadership, management, and people skills training for modern teams. Traditional corporate classroom training is inconvenient and ineffective (70% is forgotten within a day), and pre-recorded e-learning videos are impersonal and poorly suited for interactive people skills training. Hone is the first scaled platform and marketplace for live online, synchronous, instructor-led training classes for leadership, management, and soft skills. Our unique solution allows organizations to source, manage, and deliver live online video-based training at scale and measure its impact.

About The Role

As a Senior Engineer on our engineering team, you will part of a small but mighty product development team shaping the product and architecture. You will build out new functionality on our stack (Python/Django, React) following engineering best practices and agile principles. We have a lot of exciting functionality to roll out, including learning analytics for our clients and a next-generation live learning experience for our learners. This role will work primarily remotely, with the option of being in-person sessions in San Diego, CA regularly or for quarterly team get-togethers.

About You

We care about your ability to work with others and bring a positive, problem-solving attitude to your work much more than proficiency in any technology. Our ideal candidate would have:

• Strong, positive problem-solving approach and natural curiosity
• Proven record of owning projects to completion
• Passion for our mission and vision
• Excellent communication and a collaborative approach
• 4+ years of professional engineering experience in a startup or high-growth tech company
• Familiarity with our stack (Python, React, MongoDB, Express, AWS) or similar
• Strong computer science fundamentals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $220,000.00 per year
